NBN installation of Nodes in Dromana

After much waiting the NBN is finally coming to the Mornington Peninsula and the attached document is the latest update on where and when it will be rolled out.

Some areas around Mt Eliza have already been completed with Fibre To The Premises (FTTP) with most others to be completed as Fibre To The Node (FTTN) as seen in the above image from contractors in Dromana.

Contractors advise that from the time this infrastructure is installed then the NBN should be available in the neighbourhood withing the following 3 months.

In this specific instance, the cabinets were installed 3 days after the cabling was completed – all on schedule.

Many areas of the Southern Mornington Peninsula have appalling internet connection, even with ADSL, so it is hoped that the new National Broadband Network will be a vast improvement.
